Compass Bible Church Treasure Valley (CBCTV) launched in January 2019 in the Treasure Valley region of Boise, ID—one of the fastest‑growing areas in America. We exist to reach, teach, and train followers of Jesus Christ. Our ministries reflect a robust commitment to biblical expository teaching, relational discipleship, and mission‑minded gospel work. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a full‑time Pastor/Director for our College, Young Adults, and Singles ministries.

Position Summary

This role will oversee ministry to college students, young adults, and single adults, providing pastoral leadership, discipleship, event-planning, cultivated community, and outreach strategies. This role also participates in general pastoral care, biblical counseling, and church‑wide ministry.

Vision & Leadership

·      Cast a compelling ministry vision aligned with CBCTV’s mission and distinctives.

·      Build and lead volunteer teams; create structure, goals, and strategic rhythm.

·      Collaborate with pastoral leadership to ensure ministry coordination and unity.

Ministry Development

·      Oversee weekly gatherings for college & young adults (teaching, worship, small groups).

·      Lead and expand the Singles ministry including ~6 events per year.

·      Develop campus outreach at local campuses; build evangelistic and discipleship connections.

·      Build clear pathways from first‑time visitor → engaged member → discipler/leader.

Discipleship & Teaching

·      Lead one‑on‑one discipleship and group Bible studies.

·      Provide expository teaching/preaching in ministry contexts.

·      Equip leaders and volunteers for multiplying disciple‑making.

Counseling & Pastoral Care

·      Provide biblical counseling (including pre‑marital counseling).

·      Participate in pastoral visitation, care, and support ministries.

·      Ensure that individuals in these life‑stages are known, shepherded, and integrated.

Event Planning & Administration

·      Plan and execute ministry events, retreats, training nights, and gatherings.

·      Manage budgets, communication, schedules, volunteer teams, and logistics.

·      Track engagement and spiritual growth outcomes through structured systems.

Qualifications & Ministry Profile

·      A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a life marked by repentance and obedience.

·      Meets the biblical qualifications for a pastor/deacon as described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

·      Vocational ministry experience, preferably with college or young adults.

·      Demonstrated skill in biblical counseling, including pre-marital counseling.

·      Strength in one-on-one discipleship and leading group Bible studies.

·      Able to teach the Scriptures with clarity, faithfulness, and a shepherd’s heart.

·      A humble, teachable spirit and a pattern of servant-hearted leadership.

·      Alignment with CBCTV’s doctrinal statement and joy in our 8 distinctives.

·      Conviction that God grows His church through the faithful teaching of His Word.

·      Theological alignment with complementarian, cessationist, dispensational, and futurist premillennial convictions.
