Welcome!
We are so glad you joined us today! If you are new, please stop by the Compass Connect table. We would love to meet you. Our mission at Compass Bible Church is to reach, teach, and train as many people as possible to be followers of Jesus Christ. We do this by seeking the direction of God’s Word together as a community. It is our prayer that your time here will result in you being drawn nearer to God, deeper into the Bible, and closer to other believers! We hope to see you again next Sunday!

Join our church and read the Bible daily! Each day we read through passages from the Old and New Testament. As a companion to the reading plan, we’ve created a daily devotional podcast designed to help more people get into God’s Word and get more out of the Word. You can subscribe to the “Revival from the Bible” podcast wherever you listen to podcasts.

Team Uganda is currently serving with our supported missionaries at SOS Ministries! A team of 16 is in Uganda conducting two Camp Compass programs (like a VBS) for 600 Ugandan children. They are also working alongside the team there at SOS, helping with various construction projects they have going on. Team Uganda returns on August 1.
Please support these endeavors with your prayers!
There are serving opportunities on our Kids Min team! This team works diligently to create a Biblically focused, Gospel rich, and fun environment for all the kids at Compass Bible Church. We are currently in need of more volunteers who are eager to serve during one of our multiple service times on Sundays, as well as during our Adventure Club program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Interested? Come visit us to learn more on Sunday, August 3 at our Ministry Fair in the Heritage Room after each service.

PARTNERS: ONE ON ONE DISCIPLESHIP
Partners is a 10-week one-on-one discipleship program where two people will go through a ten-chapter workbook that covers the most important areas of Christian belief and practice. Someone who has previously completed the course partners with someone who has not as they go through the workbook together. Of course, the great task of making disciples cannot be completely accomplished in one 10-week study, but you will find this program to be a valuable tool in the process of discipleship.
First of all, you will benefit from going through this material. The booklet (written by Mike Fabarez, the senior pastor of our sending church) will constantly drive you to dig into the Scriptures as you consider topics like the gospel, prayer, the local church, and living a holy life. I have heard many testimonies over the years of people who have been saved as they study the biblical gospel in chapter one. I also know many experienced Christians who have gone through this booklet and grown more than they anticipated because of it.
Secondly, you will find the Partners program to be an incredibly useful tool as you seek to disciple others. As you meet people who are newer to the faith or newer to our congregation and want to invest in them spiritually, you will have a clear track on which to run through Partners. For many people, taking someone through Partners is just the beginning of a lifelong relationship of encouragement in the Lord.
What is the mission of the church? The answer to this question can be found in Jesus’ “Great Commission” in Matthew 28:18-20 where he instructs his followers to make disciples. The church should be all about discipleship as it seeks to reach people with the gospel, teach people to be like Jesus, and train them to make disciples themselves.
At Compass, we want everyone in the church engaging in this disciple-making mission. Making disciples is not just for pastors or ministry leaders; it is the task of every Christian. One particular way we desire everybody at Compass to be equipped for this work is through the Partners program.

If you are a part of Compass Bible Church Treasure Valley, I want to encourage you to participate in the Partners program. I am confident that going through this material will grow your faith. Faithfully taking others through will offer many opportunities to invest in the work of reaching, teaching, and training others. Our church must be active in the great task of making disciples, I would love for you to be a partner in that work with us through the Partners program.
